I'm not sure how one wishes well for the Chinese New Year in a culturally correct manner, but I most certainly wish all 1 billion 300 million 44 thousand 5 hundred and fifty-five PLUS people living in China as well as the thousands (? more?) of Chinese immigrants around the world a WONDERFUL year of the OX and lots of health, happiness and prosperity!! I have never been to China, but friends in the Fashion industry who have spent time there say that New Year celebrations on the mainland are an experience never to forget. After all, where did fireworks come from again? ;-D Fashion industry professionals integrate the Chinese New Year into their time-and-action calendars unfailingly, as it is a show-topping holiday for those who manufacture there (and really, who doesn't?)
If all goes well, this time next year Lasell faculty and students will be preparing to spend 10 days working with design students at Shandong University of Art and Design during Spring Break 2010.

g the school's president Pan Lusheng. I was present when the delegation met with President Michael B. Alexander, and other school leaders to sign an agreement to develop exchanges.
