Garment turn-in for Fashion Show: Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior designers

In preparation for the big
spring undergraduate fashion show, student designers brought their garments to a faculty review.

This review gives the student designers an opportunity to gain insight about the quality of their work from professors other than their course instructor. It also assures that the designs on the runway meet the Fashion Department's criteria for quality. If a garment did not pass the review, it will not be a part of the fashion show.

Professor Lynn Blake organized the turn-in, and when I returned to Yamawaki from my class at 5:30 PM, the students in the photos were still lined up in the hall (the review had begun at 4:00 PM).

I entered the classroom, kind of expecting to encounter a serious, critical environment, but really delighted to discover a relaxed, collaborative mood where professors were pointing out areas for improvement while admiring the quality of work students presented.

Some of the professors had too much fun, as you can see from those who just HAD to try on the hats!

Mark your calendars to see the work on the runway on May 1, 200!
