Wikkit - (Wireless ticket) NEW marketing ap that rocks!

Last week we were hanging around outside of the Calvin Klein show at 38th and 7th Avenue during New York Fashion Week and I got to breathe the same air as Katie Holmes! Well kind of. I was about 3 feet away from her when she was escorted through a rather hostile group of press - literally pressing each other and closing in on her.  We had tried to pull some strings to get into the Calvin Klein show, but had no luck

On our way to the next show, we encountered the wikkit concept.  I say encountered instead of met, or saw, because it was a real experience. Aside from the girls who were standing with signs that said wikkit that had a super-cool graphic on it; kind of 60s retro barcode, we met Adam Hunt, the founder of the company, and he was patient enough to explain the concept to me in a way I could understand. It's an app that you download, and then you can use it to reference the company's website, to promote events, to offer specials - anyway this video gives you a good idea how a wikkit can be used for a promotion.

I'm going to get a focus group together of students and we're going to work with Adam.  We're also going to explore designing clothes with wikkit's on them. Adam, made a wikkit for Lasell College - in various colors. Which color do you like best?

Watch for this company/app/concept to explode. It has great potential!
