Black Models Celebrated As Runway Revolutionaries

This is the anniversary of a revolutionary event that happened just outside of Paris in Versailles in 1973: at the MET "Around 200 people will gather Monday at the Costume Institute to celebrate these black models whose work that night made American fashion a contender on the world stage."  I heard about this on NPR's weekend edition. http://www.npr.org/2011/01/23/133146192/black-models-celebrated-as-runway-revolutionaries  You can either read the whole article or listen to it!
