JEWELRY DESIGN COMPETITION - MY SISTER'S KEEPER

Students of Lasell College have been invited to participate in a jewelry design competition for MY SISTER’S KEEPER an organization that is a faith-inspired, multi-racial, collective of women who work together to lend sisterly assistance to communities of women in various locations throughout the World. MSK is looking for a “signature” design for their jewelry – something that when women are wearing it, everyone will know they are advocates of the organization’s mission.
WHAT: Draw a design of a necklace using KAZURI BEADS. You may use the beads they have in stock OR design your own beads!! We will meet to show you how to present your ideas!

WHEN: On Wednesday, February 16th in room 208 of Yamawaki at 6:00 pm we will have some PIZZA and show a short documentary about the organization and its mission. At that time we will also explain how the design concept is to be presented, explain about the inspirational statement, show a sample of what is being done currently, and answer any questions.

 On Tuesday February 22nd during Common Hour, faculty will be present to help mentor students through any issues you may be having with design or presentation.
