Service project: blankets for children born in poverty

Barbara Wren, Lexie Poxillo, and Rufus Dixon were only three of the many Fashion Service Society members who helped us make blankets for children born in poverty. The project was sponsored by Boston Cares. When I went as a volunteer on MLK day at a gradeschool in Stonybrook, MA., I realized that hosting the project at Lasell would be a great solution.Our industrial machines and big pattern tables were the perfect environment for cranking out those 14 blankets we finished!
